Yorgos Stenos seeks to create tinkering musical experiences, playing with hidden sonic potential of objects, spaces and instruments. He makes site-specific sound works, drawing prime material from the natural or artificial surroundings, amplifying, transforming or pretending sonic inventions, exposing the real or toying with the imaginary. On-stage, he performs with BLIP, Trigger Happy and solo, using a blend of found objects, percussion, diy electroacoustic contraptions, electronics and conventional instruments, with a focus on timbre and rhythm. He's a member of Loskop.radio, KEDIMURA collective, and also conducting workshops on experimental sound practices. Studied MusM Composition (Electroacoustic)/University of Manchester (UK), MSci Music & Audio-Visual Arts/Ionian University (GR)
